Aram Place was a very exciting project in which we worked directly with the client.

The sloping site and nature of design required and large amount of excavation and retaining walls to be constructed.  

The external claddings are a combination of finishes.  Polished ebony blocks with river stone aggregate run alone the front of the house laid in stack bond and into the entry.  The upper level is a combination of Unitex, Hardies Easytex and Interlocking panel.  A slat aluminium fence with 3 auto gates runs the full width of the combined double block the house has been built across.  The area behind the house has a tailor-made area for a basketball ring and some sunken alfresco areas for undercover entertaining.  A fire pit area was cut into the steep bank behind and is accessed via a path that is bordered by gabion walls.

The internal finishes are vast and have a similar theme that extends throughout the build.  The interior architecture was a combination of Honed and Lydia Maskiel designs.  A lift was installed to assist with accessing between level 1 and 2. Our team created the handrail design that is the feature of the bridge link as you enter through the large pivot hinged door.

The project was completed in just over 12 months with the client taking over with only the landscaping left to be completed.  The client relationship was very positive throughout the build and they certainly love the new place.  It received a HIGH COMMENDATION in the MBAT custom Built home over 2M category and Kitchen of the year with HIA.
